Keystone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Java (8–21) with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.

The role includes contributing to Angular-based UI, RESTful APIs, and messaging with Kafka and Redis, ensuring performance and robust quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform unit testing, and participate in the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java development experience and strong backend design skills.
• Experience with Spring Framework including Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong knowledge of messaging queues, caching, REST APIs, and OpenAPI.
• Front-end exposure with Angular/TypeScript is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java (8–21) backend applications for performance and scalability.

We are seekinga highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with strong hands-onexpertise in Java, Spring framework/Spring Boot, Messaging Queues, Caching andAngular to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will develop,and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications seamlesslyintegrating Java-based backend systems with Angular-based front-ends. This rolerequires a proactive problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-pacedenvironment.

ImportantDetails:

Onsite orRemote: Candidate MUST be a resident local to Madison or near the Madisonoffice, or willing to relocate to Madison prior to starting the role at theirown expense. The selected hire can work 100% remote from within the Madisonarea but must be available to come into the office if needed. Candidate must be relocated 1 month afterHire Date.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Developand maintain Java (8 to 21)-based backend applications, ensuring highperformance and scalability.
• Unittest and code coverage using Junit.
• Usespring boot, messaging queues, caching and Kafka, Redis and or equivalenttools.
• Developand maintain Angular (21)-based front-end user interfaces with a focus onresponsiveness, usability, and ADA/WCAG compliance.
• Unittests using Junit and PlayWright.
• Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, including business analysts, and APM/QA engineers,to gather and implement requirements.
• Createand maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backendsystems.
• Troubleshootand resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and robustness.
• Stayup to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices inJava and Angular development.
• Codereviews and contribute to code quality and standards to ensure high-qualityproduct delivery.

Requirements

RequiredSkills:

• Strongproficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot), Hibernate/JPA, Messagequeuing, and caching. (8 + yrs experience).
• Experience with webapplications development, web services, REST API, etc. (8 + yrs experience).
• Advancedskills in Angular (21), Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing,creating, and documenting RESTful API using Spring Boot and OpenAPI.
• Practical knowledge of, andexperience with, various middleware platforms like Apache Kafka, Redis, andBOOMI.
• Familiaritywith CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and dynamic environmentconfiguration.
• Experiencedeveloping wire frames and mock-ups as a tool to communicate design conceptswith stakeholders.
• Strongknowledge of relational databases like Oracle.
