Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Java Developer to support the analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications.

You will develop backend services with Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and related technologies; build server-side rendered interfaces using Thymeleaf; collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, developers, and stakeholders; gather requirements; translate them into technical specs and acceptance criteria; manage code in Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7 years of hands-on Java and backend development experience.
• 7 years using Maven for build and dependency management.
• 5 years using Git version control.
• 5 years CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• 5 years HTML/CSS experience.
• 5 years Thymeleaf experience.
• 3 years with PostgreSQL or RDS.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE.
• Participate in analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, and production support.
• Build server-side rendered UIs with Thymeleaf.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, developers, and stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, and document requirements.
• Translate requirements into technical specs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage source code with Git; participate in code reviews.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or AWS DevOps.
• Design and maintain relational databases with normalization and data integrity.
• Support deployment and basic server administration.
• Contribute to front-end using HTML and CSS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects.
