Description

Eliassen is looking for a Senior Java Developer/AWS Expert with strong experience in building cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure applications in a dynamic Agile environment. You should have hands-on experience with Oracle or SQL databases, cloud deployment using AWS, and a solid understanding of CI/CD practices. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and a proactive mindset in navigating evolving project requirements. A background in IT consulting or cloud solutions and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are essential.

Location: 100% Remote (U.S. Based Only)

Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder and eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Employment Type: Full-Time

 Pay Rate: ($65-$75/hr. W2)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement applications using Java and Spring Boot to support business requirements.
  • Analyze highly complex business requirements and generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement, and support solutions.
  • Assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
  • Deploy and manage applications in the cloud, leveraging AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a high-quality codebase.
  • Implement best practices for cloud deployment and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment, adapting to change quickly and adjusting work accordingly in a positive manner.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience following the iterative and agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Clearance: Able to obtain Public Trust. Prior or Active Public Trust is a plus.

Education Requirements

Required Certifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • AWS certifications are highly desirable.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
