Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Java Developer to join a margin calculation platform project for a Top Investment Bank. The role focuses on backend Java components, with Angular on frontend, and a lean, agile team distributed across the UK, Tampa, New York and Warsaw.

Responsibilities include delivering backend components on time with high quality and actively participating in the global development process. Must have 6+ years of full software development life cycle experience and strong Java/JPA/Spring.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in full SDLC including data analysis, architecture design, coding and testing.
• Proficiency in Java with Spring, JMS, JPA (Hibernate).
• Ability to work independently in a global environment.
• Knowledge of Oracle preferred, MSSQL/Sybase OK.

The project team is lean and agile and is distributed across UK, Tampa, New York and Warsaw.

We're looking for a Java Developer for our margin terms and workflow management system built with Java-based technology stack on backend and Angular frameworks on frontend.

Skills

Must have

• Strong knowledge and 6+ years of experience in the full life-cycle of software development processes including data analysis, architecture design, coding and testing;
• Proficiency in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems including Spring, JMS, JPA (Hibernate);
• Ability to work independently without supervision in global environment;
• Knowledge and experience in Database (Oracle preferred, MSSQL/Sybase OK)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven;
• Familiarity with continuous integration;
• Understanding of REST and its best practices
