Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise applications that support critical business operations. You will work with clients, architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams to drive successful project outcomes.

The role emphasizes end-to-end development in Java/Spring Boot with PL/SQL and Oracle, plus exposure to AI-enabled development, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL development, query optimization, and database programming.
• Experience working with Oracle Database technologies.
• Understanding of AI and Agentic AI concepts, including the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and solution delivery.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, containerization technologies, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating directly with clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering high-quality enterprise applications that support critical business operations. In This Role, You Will:

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
