Qualifications

• 7+ years of combined data engineering and software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of Java-based data processing, pipeline, or integration experience.
• 5+ years of PL/SQL development experience.
• 4+ years with Oracle relational databases.
• 4+ years of SQL and relational database work.
• 4+ years of data integration across databases, APIs, files or messaging.
• 3+ years of Kafka for messaging or streaming.
• 3+ years of data warehousing/modeling knowledge.
• 3+ years of RESTful API development/integration.
• 3+ years of GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy or similar CI/CD tools.
• 2+ years of Docker deployment or packaging.
• 2+ years of production monitoring with Splunk.
• Experience collaborating with clients and stakeholders to translate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise data pipelines and data integration solutions using Java, PL/SQL, Oracle, and Kafka.
• Build reliable batch and real-time data workflows and integrate data across enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL queries, packages, procedures, and database components.
• Use Kafka to support event-driven data movement and near-real-time processing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production pipeline, database, and performance issues (Splunk).
• Utilize GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy, Docker for source control, CI/CD, deployment and release management.
• Work with a pod of data engineers on design, reviews, testing, deployment, and support.
• Independently identify knowledge gaps and learn new technologies as platforms evolve.
• Communicate with stakeholders to manage priorities and deliver solutions in a consultative manner.
