Job summary

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (Java/Cloud) for remote work. You will design, build, and enhance enterprise applications while providing technical leadership and mentoring within an Agile team.

You’ll develop Java/Spring Boot applications, build REST/SOAP/MQ based services, and support cloud migration and modernization efforts across enterprise environments. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Experience building APIs and services using REST, SOAP and MQ.
• Background delivering enterprise‑scale software solutions in complex environments.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership experience guiding technical direction while remaining hands‑on.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support APIs and integration services utilizing REST, SOAP, and MQ technologies.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in software development.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring activities.
• Support cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
• Help drive long‑term application strategy, performance improvements, and future enhancements.
