Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Senior Developer/Engineer with deep Java experience to design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native distributed applications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Java, Microsoft Azure, microservices, data integration, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.

This role requires a strong combination of application development, solution design, automation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Factory for data integration.
• Strong experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Experience with SOA and full-stack application development.
• Strong Microsoft Azure cloud experience.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably AKS.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong experience with Git and GitHub.
• Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with distributed and cloud-native systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using modern software engineering practices.
• Build scalable, resilient, and maintainable microservices-based solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external systems.
• Design and support data integration and pipeline orchestration using Azure Data Factory.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Work with Azure services such as Event Hub, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, VNets, and private networking.
• Containerize applications using Docker and support Kubernetes-based deployment and scaling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate cloud provisioning, deployment, and operational processes using scripting.
• Support source control and release processes using Git, GitHub, and CloudSmith.
• Implement application monitoring and performance management using Dynatrace.
• Support logging and observability using Dynatrace and Mezmo.
• Apply cloud-native security and secure coding best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and other cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
