The role requires 6–10 years of hands-on development, strong Java (11/17), Spring Boot microservices, REST/SOAP, Kafka, SQL, and cloud/CI/CD experience. Primary location is Jersey City; base salary range $142,320–$213,480 with comprehensive Citi benefits.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of hands-on application development experience.
• Strong experience with Core Java 11/17 and J2EE.
• Solid Microservices knowledge using Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST/SOAP, design patterns, and Kafka.
• Expert SQL skills.
• Basic Python knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management teams to integrate functions and identify system enhancements.
• Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business and system processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure adherence to architecture.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Understand how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and innovative solutions.
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Assess risk and drive compliance with laws and Citigroup policies.
