Job summary

Blankfactor is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team, focusing on merchant acquiring and payment processing. You will design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java 11+ in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise with Java 11+ (Java 17/21 preferred).
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with merchant acquiring, payment gateways, or financial services.
• Experience with transaction lifecycle concepts: Authorization, Capture, Settlement.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Strong understanding of secure application development and API design.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
• Build and enhance APIs and microservices for merchant acquiring and payment processing.
• Develop secure, high-performance solutions for payment authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, testable code following engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical excellence.
