Job summary

Precision Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to support client projects across the United States. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on software development and strong Java/Spring Boot expertise.

You will design and implement scalable backend systems, build microservices and RESTful APIs, and work with relational databases and CI/CD practices. Occasional client-site work may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience building REST APIs and Microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with JPA / Hibernate.
• Experience with distributed systems and integration.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performing applications using Java and modern backend technologies.
• Build and enhance Spring Boot applications, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Develop clean, maintainable, production-quality code following software engineering best practices.
• Work with relational databases and data-access technologies to design efficient solutions.
• Integrate applications with third-party systems, messaging platforms, and enterprise services.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, business analysts, and product teams.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
• Support applications throughout the full software development lifecycle.
