Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join a dedicated team supporting the Omnichannel Payment Platform (OPP) and a new Point-of-Sale (POS) system in Blue Ash, OH. This role focuses on stabilizing the POS environment and ensuring seamless integration with OPP.

The candidate will apply strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, backend service design, API gateway integrations, and enterprise payment system experience while operating in PCI-scoped environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot backend services.
• Experience integrating with API Gateways and payment platforms.
• Experience with enterprise payment systems and POS environments.
• Familiarity with PCI-scoped environments and security/compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Support the integration of the new POS platform with the Omnichannel Payment Platform (OPP).
• Develop and support integrations with API Gateway platforms and downstream services.
• Troubleshoot and stabilize POS-to-backend and payment processing integrations.
• Perform hands-on testing with physical POS terminals and onsite lab hardware.
