Job summary

Trax USA Corp seeks an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Development team supporting a Tier 1 customer. You will design and develop robust backend systems powering aviation software, driving engineering best practices and code quality.

Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and operations to implement secure, scalable backend services in a modern distributed architecture. Mentoring and technical leadership will be valued as we evolve our Java ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience with backend service design.
• Strong object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Proven experience building RESTful services and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with modern Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in a microservices environment.
• Build secure, high-performance, scalable code for mission-critical processes.
• Develop event-driven processing within distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and ops teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to coding standards and reviews.
• Troubleshoot and optimize production backend systems for reliability and performance.
• Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance across components.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design scalability plans.
• Support global customers across time zones as needed.
