Job summary

UST is seeking a strong Java Backend Engineer to join a multi-vendor, multi-geo team building a NextGen High Scale Enterprise Platform. You will design, develop, and deploy high-performance Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices, integrate Kafka event streams, and participate in architecture discussions.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and DevOps throughout the lifecycle, producing documentation and mentoring juniors while adhering to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of hands-on Java development at enterprise level.
• Experience with Java 18+, Kafka, Kubernetes and Azure cloud.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance Java-based applications.
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Produce detailed technical design documents and development specifications.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and CI/CD.
