Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Java Developer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend applications for a Prime Brokerage reporting platform.

The role requires 10+ years of Java development, strong Core Java/J2EE/Spring Boot expertise, and Oracle Exadata experience. You will work on microservices, multithreading, and performance tuning in a hybrid environment with regular onsite days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on Oracle Exadata experience is required.
• Extensive experience with multithreading and concurrent programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Develop and optimize multithreaded applications to support high-volume processing and concurrency.
• Perform JVM tuning, analyze runtime behavior, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Develop database integrations using Oracle Exadata, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.
• Perform data processing, profiling, and validation within backend applications.
• Utilize Linux, shell scripting, and command-line tools for development and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Java, Python, and shell scripting.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery and timely project execution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
