ITSG Global is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, implement, and maintain backend services for an industrial IoT platform. You will build APIs, integrate with client systems and cloud services, and collaborate with a cross‑functional team to deliver robust live products.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, Azure production experience, and a solid understanding of REST APIs, SQL/ PostgreSQL, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience developing backend services.
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure in a production environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining production applications.
• Knowledge of REST API design and system integrations.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience creating unit and integration tests (JUnit/Mockito).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and code reviews.
• Ability to diagnose problems based on logs and application behavior.
• Willingness to work with existing code and modernize it.
• Fluent English for team communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and develop backend services in Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop the IoT platform and integrations with client systems and cloud services.
• Create and develop APIs and work with databases.
• Analyze and resolve bugs in production applications.
• Create automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Tech Lead and DevOps on designing and deploying changes.
• Monitor application performance, analyze logs, and resolve incidents.
• Update dependencies, develop documentation, and improve processes.
• Collaborate with partner teams to learn and enhance the platform.
• Utilize AI tools to assist programming and verify generated code.
