Praia Health, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end architecture of our platform, focusing primarily on scalable Java backend services and supporting client-side integrations in JavaScript.

You will collaborate with leadership to deliver secure APIs used by internal teams and health system partners. You will work across backend, frontend touchpoints, and data pipelines in a regulated health-tech environment, driving reliability, documentation, and strong DevOps practices while

Competenze

• 6+ years of experience building and operating production software, with distributed, high-throughput systems.
• Expert-level Java development with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and frontend integration experience.
• Healthcare interoperability experience (EMR/EHR, HL7 FHIR) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-native services, containers, and IaC (Terraform).
• Security and API design focus including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and secure SDLC practices.

Mansioni

• Architect, build, and scale core Java backend services powering Praia’s platform.
• Collaborate on frontend components and client-side integration hooks (10–20%).
• Develop and operate enterprise integration services for EMRs using HL7 FHIR APIs.
• Leverage Databricks/Spark for data pipelines when needed (nice to have).
• Develop and maintain secure REST/event APIs with robust authentication and auditing.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, IaC, logging, and incident response.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into robust solutions.
