The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java / Azure Developer with 10+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Azure Cloud Services, Microservices, API Development, and DevOps practices. This role involves end-to-end application development, cloud-native solution design, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure services.
• Develop, enhance, and support microservices-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in application architecture, technical design, and solution discussions.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines following DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to project teams.
• Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.

What You Need

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development using Java technologies.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience in cloud-native application development and modernization.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Scrum Master or Agile Certification

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
