Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in New York City, NY is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable backend services. You will work with AWS services, microservices architecture and modern Java features to deliver high-performance solutions.

The role requires strong Java expertise, experience with Spring/SpringBoot, and a collaborative mindset to drive quality and efficiency across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of advanced features introduced in v11, v17 and v21.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries.
• Good knowledge of Microservices architecture using Spring Framework & SpringBoot.
• Familiar with Scala programming language.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools - Kubernetes, Jenkins, Github and Spinnaker.
• Experience with No SQL database likeDynamoDB and relational database.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining microservices in the back-end applications.
• Developing and maintaining AWS services like DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM and EKS.
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Staying abreast of developments in backend applications and programming languages.
