Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer – Java/AWS Backend to join our team in Chicago, IL, with hybrid options in Peoria, IL; Dallas, TX; or Broomfield, CO.

The role focuses on backend RESTful APIs, microservices, and technical leadership while collaborating across cross-functional Agile teams. You will mentor developers, lead delivery of valuable features, and uphold high software quality through established practices.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience
• MS with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Alternatively 10+ years of Java software development experience in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend RESTful API services using a microservices architecture
• Mentor and review code for other developers
• Lead development and support teams in an Agile environment
• Resolve complex technical problems and deliver features with business value
• Ensure high quality through best practices and documentation
• Guide team on structured code, documentation, and operations guides
• Drive new functionality and applications on cross-functional teams
