Job summary

InfoVision Inc. is seeking an accomplished Java backend engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable services in Pleasanton, CA. You will lead microservice architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers while ensuring robust security and performance.

Requirements include 10+ years of Java experience, Spring Boot mastery, RESTful APIs, and cloud familiarity. Strong SQL, NoSQL exposure, and CI/CD proficiency are essential in a fast-paced delivery

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Spring Boot and Spring Framework (MVC, Data, Security).
• Experience designing microservices architectures.
• Relational DB design and performance tuning (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
• RESTful API design and ORM familiarity (Hibernate/JPA).
• Proficient with Maven/Gradle and Git; unit testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Solid grasp of design patterns, SOLID, and clean code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend apps using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect microservices and contribute to system design decisions.
• Write clean, documented code following best practices.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and QA.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps practices.
• Participate in architectural decisions and roadmaps.
