Blue Yonder is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer (Java Architect) in Dallas, TX, a hybrid role with in-office presence required. You will design, architect, and implement scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, WebFlux, and Kafka, while leveraging Azure cloud services and Kubernetes.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architectural decisions, and cloud-native solutions. Minimum 12+ years in software development with strong Java and microservices experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, WebFlux/Project Reactor, and related technologies.
• Leverage Azure services (AKS, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions) to deploy and scale microservices.
• Design and build SaaS multi-tenant, scalable, low-latency backend systems.
• Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka for streaming and processing.
• Provide hands-on leadership through code reviews, guiding junior engineers, and maintaining high standards for quality and security.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and PD teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize for throughput and reliability.
• Promote best practices like TDD, CI/CD, and secure coding.
