Job summary

Artifintech in New York is seeking a senior software architect to define and drive the application architecture for enterprise Java solutions. You will design scalable microservices and API-driven architectures using Java and Spring Boot, establish standards, and provide hands-on technical leadership.

You will architect REST APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems, work with Kafka, and deploy on AWS/Azure with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive application architecture and technical design for enterprise Java solutions.
• Design scalable microservices and API-driven architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, architecture reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting support.
• Design and optimize REST APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems.
• Work with Kafka or similar messaging platforms for asynchronous/event-driven architectures.
• Architect solutions for AWS/Azure environments, including containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, resiliency, performance, and application security practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, security, infrastructure, and other architects.
• Evaluate existing/legacy applications and define modernization and cloud migration strategies.
• Mentor developers and provide technical direction throughout the SDLC.
