Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Principal Engineer (Java/SAP) based in Germany to architect and deliver enterprise integrations between Java applications and SAP Ariba. You will lead the technical roadmap, guide a small engineering team, and align workstreams with product and client delivery.

The role combines hands-on coding with architecture, performance tuning, security practices, and mentoring. Initial three-month engagement with strong extension potential into 2027; EST hours overlap preferred.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional Java experience with hands-on Spring Boot.
Deep SAP Ariba expertise including Ariba Developer Portal and SIM/SLP workflows.
Experience building backend integrations using APIs, event-driven patterns, and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Lead and architect Java/SAP Ariba integrations and backend enrichment.
Own the technical roadmap and drive platform configuration, workflows, and connector-side engineering.
Mentor a small engineering team and promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps and solve integration challenges.
Ensure secure authentication and reliable third-party integrations.
