Job summary

The Senior Java Developer w/ Angular will design, develop, and enhance software applications using Java, Angular, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and related technologies.

The role includes developing user interfaces, microservices, and web services; collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams; developing and maintaining automated tests; supporting code quality and architecture improvements; and providing guidance to junior and mid-level developers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React.
• Extensive design and programming experience with Java and JEE technologies.
• Extensive hands-on experience with UI frameworks such as Angular.
• Experience working on Agile projects and strong knowledge of Agile terminology and tools.
• Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency systems using Java and Angular.
• Strong experience with Java, Angular 9 and above, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications onto AWS with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on design and development experience with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with web services technologies, including XML, JAXP, JAXB, JAX-WS, AXIS, JERSEY, JSON, CXF, REST, and SOAP.
• Experience with security technologies including LTPA and OAuth2/JWT.
• Experience with JEE technologies, including Struts, Spring Framework (IoC, MVC, Transactions, Security, and Batch), Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, SOAP/RESTful, XML, DB2, Tomcat, and WebSphere.
• Experience with static code analyzers such as SonarQube and addressing recommended technical debt.
• Experience with automated unit testing, mocking frameworks, TDD, and BDD using Cucumber.
• Experience with modern software development tools for continuous integration, including Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities in web applications and methods for addressing them.
• Experience developing and testing Java applications using JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
