Base pay range

$70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Our Boston based Asset Management client is looking for a remote contractor. Very long-term potential, replacing a consultant who was there for a number of years. Jasper and Highcharts are the key skills. They are seeking a Senior level candidate who can interact with the business.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Jasper, a Java-based technology.
2. Collaborate with client service and strategic marketing teams to generate and customize reports.
3. Engage with users to understand their reporting needs and provide solutions to enhance report design and functionality.
4. Work closely with other developers to ensure seamless data collection and integration using Java and JSON as the transport layer.
5. Support the transition and knowledge transfer from the current Jasper expert.

Qualifications:

1. Proven Jasper Developer with an understanding of Java.
2. Experience with JSON for data transport.
3. Ability to translate user requirements into functional and visually appealing reports.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment, will be dealing with end users directly.
6. Familiarity with the financial domain is a plus, but not required.

Preferred Experience:

1. A few years of hands-on experience with Jasper.
2. Background in finance or a related field is advantageous.
3. Experience working in a remote setting and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
