AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior ITS Engineer II to lead ITS and traffic engineering projects in Nevada and across the U.S. You will provide technical leadership, manage scope and budgets, and mentor junior staff through all design and construction phases.

The role requires a Civil/Electrical engineering degree, Nevada PE or eligibility, and 10–14 years of relevant experience, with strong writing and client-facing skills. This position offers hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS and/or MS in Civil/Electrical Engineering required.
• Nevada PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10–14 years of engineering experience with 3+ years in PM/supervisory roles.
• ITS, traffic signal, lighting and signing experience essential.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills; solid project finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across ITS, traffic signal, lighting and markings projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and quality; prepare design documents.
• Design, deploy, test and support ITS systems (DMS, CCTV, detectors).
• Develop solutions aligned with client needs and standards.
• Support testing, verification, and system integration activities.
• Assist construction-phase services, submittals, RFIs, field coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and support their growth; possibly serve as PM or deputy PM.
• Support business development and client relationship activities.
