Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an IT Support professional in Romeoville, Illinois to assist with installing and maintaining computer and telecommunication systems across our logistics campus.

You will troubleshoot hardware/software, enforce security policies, and support WMS configurations and data extraction testing. Bachelor's in CS with 1+ year experience preferred; familiarity with WMS like Red Prairie or Manhattan LMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science from a 4-year college or university.
• Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of third-party logistics, transportation systems, and/or warehouse management systems including Red Prairie or Manhattan LMS preferred.
• PC proficient with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assists with installing and maintaining computer systems, telecommunication systems, networking systems and other required systems.
• Provides testing and troubleshooting of hardware/ software, including PC’s, Printers and RF Scanners, and new computer configurations.
• Assists with enforcing policies for user rights and security.
• Assists with programming pick paths and product placements within WMS.
• Leads projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve goals.
• Assists with tests and recommendations for WMS enhancements.
• Assists in designing and implementation of A/B testing procedures for data extraction.
• Coordinates backup of network resources and data throughout the network.
• Maintains up to date virus software and definitions on all computer systems throughout the campus.
• Administers process control, training and equipment needs.
• Reviews system reports and/or process logs to troubleshoot and resolve errors.
