Senior IT Technician - Level II or Level III - Experience Required

Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

*Must be willing to commute to RAMSEY NJ every day. NO REMOTE WORK*

Mazteck IT is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to join our team. The candidate must have experience working in the IT field and have network administrator experience. Possess the ability to learn new technologies and work in a team environment. Primary duties are to work directly with customers on higher-level tickets and improve the overall security for Mazteck clients. Must have a customer-friendly attitude, good written/oral communication skills, and the ability to multitask in this fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Must be hardworking, customer-oriented, and possess a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical knowledge and competency in all desktop-related technologies.
  • Maintain and operate client’s server infrastructures, including but not limited to patch installations, critical security updates, and backup maintenance.
  • Installation of monthly patches and critical security updates.
  • Maintaining proper backup and disaster recovery solutions for clients.
  • Provide support via communication by phone, remote assist, and on-site as required.
  • Communicate and assist clients by phone, remote access, and email regarding service tickets.
  • Timely and accurately document and update service tickets with all relevant details to properly log work done and follow-up work if needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT Support
  • Desktop Support/Network Support
  • Experience with Managing Windows Servers 2019 and 2022
  • Experience with VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Experience with Firewalls and VLANs
  • Experience with maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Experience in assisting and leading junior and mid-level technicians.

  • Ability to properly document events & incidents as required (whether it was service tickets, email to clients, reporting to management, etc.)
