Job summary

CATHEXIS seeks a Senior IT Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full-lifecycle recruiting for cleared technical roles across our federal portfolio, with immediate ownership of surge requisitions for AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists.

The ideal candidate operates autonomously, hunts passive cleared talent, closes offers quickly, and delivers data-driven insights on pipeline strategy. This is a hybrid role with 2 onsite days weekly in Tysons, VA.

Qualifications

8+ years of full-lifecycle IT/technical recruiting experience with a documented record of excellence.
5+ years recruiting in a government contracting (GovCon) environment.
Proven AI/ML recruiting depth: ML engineers, data scientists, or AI researchers/engineers, with the technical fluency to screen ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Demonstrated cleared-talent recruiting experience (Secret/TS/TS-SCI) and understanding of clearance timelines.
Elite direct-sourcing craft: Boolean/x-ray search and strong outreach.
Breadth across software engineering, cloud/DevOps, data engineering, and/or cybersecurity.
Offer-stage excellence: constructing competitive offers and defending against counteroffers.
Operational discipline: ATS fluency (Workable or similar) and sourcing tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present market intelligence to leadership

Responsibilities

Own full-lifecycle delivery for assigned cleared technical requisitions with intake, sourcing, screening, coordination, and negotiations.
Hunt passive cleared talent (AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists) through ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search and networks.
Recruit across clearance levels (Secret through TS/SCI) with understanding of eligibility.
Screen with technical credibility for ML frameworks, data pipelines, and cloud architecture.
Run offers with market compensation intelligence and structured counteroffer negotiations.
Build and maintain a durable, always-on talent pipeline for AI/ML and data science roles.
Partner with hiring managers through intake meetings, data-backed pipeline reviews, and consultative guidance.
Present market intelligence and recruitment performance to stakeholders with actionable recommendations.
Operate TA standards: same-day documentation and defined pipeline ownership, collaborating with TA team and HR.
