Job summary

Bow Wave LLC is seeking an IT Specialist in Washington, DC to provide end-user support for PC, server, and mainframe applications and hardware. You will interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service and resolve core problems.

The position requires minimum 8 years of experience, the ability to simulate or recreate user problems, recommend system modifications, and document solutions while maintaining currency in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
• Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and identify and correct core problems.
• Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
• Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems and improve overall system performance.
• Maintain the highest level of technical skill and knowledge in the field of expertise.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Document and track issues, solutions, and user interactions to ensure comprehensive support records.
