AstroHire, partnering with Clearway Energy Group, seeks a Senior IT Systems Specialist based in Scottsdale, AZ. Reporting to the Manager, Operations IT, you will design, implement, administer, and support operational IT systems, collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Required: a Bachelor’s in IT/CS/Power Systems Eng, 3+ years in power‑systems software and SCADA/EMS/GMS (ABB Ranger, OSI Monarch). This hybrid role offers a strong benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems development, configuration, implementation and support experience.
• 3+ years of experience with software development technologies.
• 3+ years of experience with power systems-related applications in power generation or distribution.
• 3+ years of experience with SCADA/EMS/GMS systems (e.g., ABB Ranger, Network Manager, OSI Monarch).
• Solid understanding of SDLC and multiple project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of technical solutions for Business Operations.
• Coordinate to identify, prioritize, and manage Operations IT projects and technology tasks.
• Develop procedures, processes, and applications to provide safe and reliable operations systems meeting regulatory standards.
• Proactively recognize and document business process gaps, propose and implement improvements.
• Provide support for System Operators and Generation Dispatch, and Power Marketing personnel.
• Apply project and development methodologies and follow standards.
• Minimize and manage exposure and risk on project/tasks and production tasks.
• Maintain status reports and meeting minutes, and follow up with partners, vendors, and internal resources.

Reporting to the Manager, Operations IT, the Senior IT Systems Specialist designs, implements, administers, and supports Clearway’s Operational IT systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance existing systems and contribute to the team and organization’s continuous improvement objectives

This hybrid role is based in our Scottsdale, AZ office.

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Power Systems Engineering required

Experience:

• 3+ years of systems and applications development, configuration, implementation, and support experience required
• 3+ years’ experience with an array of software development technologies required
• 3+ years’ experience with power systems-related applications in power generation or distribution required
• 3+ years of experience with SCADA/EMS/GMS systems required (example: ABB Ranger/Network Manager, OSI Monarch)
• Must know interfaces, integrations, and process flows
• Solid understanding of SDLC and experience in adopting and working in multiple project management methodologies
• Intermediate-level skills in implementing, supporting, enhancing, and maintaining complex large-scale production-critical applications in Cloud and data center-hosted environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills with a strong focus on customer interaction, customer service, and presentation
• A motivated self-starter with the capability to operate on their own with little direction and/or monitoring
• Capability to help deliver quality business solutions within restricted timelines while appropriately communicating/escalating risks, issues, or constraints as necessary to business and/or IT management
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, business partners, and other departments
• Ability to effectively prioritize organizational skills to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Ability to read the communication styles of team members, business partners, and contractors from a broad spectrum of disciplines and adjust communication delivery accordingly.
