Job summary

DP Electric Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, firewalls, identity services, cloud infrastructure, and physical technology like alarm, door access, cameras, and A/V systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, with 6+ years progressive IT experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V).
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, cloud infrastructure, security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience deploying physical tech (cameras, access control, alarm, A/V) and coordinating vendors/subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Designs, deploys, and maintains server, virtualization, storage, networking, firewall, and cloud infra.
• Maintains physical tech systems (alarm, access control, cameras, A/V) and their network.
• Monitors performance, capacity, and availability; addresses constraints before outages.
• Leads IT projects spanning infra, physical tech, ERP deployments, and cloud.
• Plans timelines, manages dependencies, and coordinates resources.
• Serves as tech lead for vendors, subcontractors, and MSPs on design & installation.
• Plans upgrades, migrations, and cutovers with minimal business disruption.
• Supports cybersecurity: patch management, endpoint hardening, security controls.
• Designs, tests backup and DR procedures; verifies recovery objectives.
• Maintains compliance and documents architectures and standards.
• Automates admin tasks via scripting and configuration management.
• Provides mentoring and escalation support to IT staff.
