Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead IT infrastructure and applications modernization for the MDA/TF, with locations in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on requirements elicitation, target-state architectures, and risk-informed migration strategies.

Ideal candidates hold an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility), a Master’s in a STEM field, and 12+ years in missile defense or large DoD programs. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; eligible for TS/SCI.
• U.S. citizen; DoD missile defense experience preferred.
• Senior-level systems engineering experience on large DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, develop, and manage requirements for IT modernization with government stakeholders.
• Baseline current-state environment; analyze portfolio and dependencies.
• Develop target-state architectures; create diagrams, data flows, and roadmaps.
• Conduct AoAs; support disposition decisions for legacy systems and infrastructure.
• Plan data center consolidation and workload migration; assess risk and schedule.
• Apply V-model and maintain requirements traceability across lifecycle.
• Prepare technical docs and briefings for technical and non-technical audiences.
