Job summary

Hex Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly technical Senior IT Systems Engineer to build and operate the systems that empower our employees to work at their best.

This role owns critical parts of our employee technology environment, from identity and endpoints to SaaS administration and onboarding/offboarding, with a strong emphasis on automation, AI, and reliability. It is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters with 2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT engineering, corporate infrastructure, or similar roles in a modern tech environment.
• Hands-on experience administering identity, endpoint, SaaS, and employee productivity systems.
• Experience managing macOS fleets with modern endpoint mgmt tooling.
• Strong scripting and automation skills; can integrate systems via APIs.
• Comfortable across a broad technical surface from identity to office infra.
• Strong security understanding; ability to work with Security teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core IT infrastructure across identity, endpoints, SaaS apps, lifecycle management, office technology, and asset management.
• Build automation and AI agents/integrations to eliminate repetitive manual work and scale IT operations.
• Manage and improve the endpoint fleet: provisioning, configuration, compliance, patching, inventory.
• Establish operational standards: monitoring, documentation, change management, incident response.
• Eliminate recurring employee friction by addressing root causes, not just tickets.
• Operate and improve technology across offices: networking, conference rooms, AV, and other employee systems.
• Collaborate with MSPs, consultants, and vendors while maintaining internal ownership of systems.
• Partner with CISO to design, mature IT program and scale; progressively lead IT day-to-day.
