Job summary

FC Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Systems Developer to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise applications focused on Epicor Kinetic and Microsoft Power Platform. You will build workflows, dashboards, and integrations to improve manufacturing processes and data flow.

You will participate in ERP upgrades and collaborate across teams to translate business needs into reliable software solutions. Dayton-area facilities require strong problem-solving and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of ERP development experience.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required due to DoD work.
• Must reside in the Dayton, Ohio area or commute to Dayton-area facilities.
• Experience with Epicor and Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Software Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Epicor Kinetic customizations, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards and reports.
• Develop and maintain business apps and automated workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Design, build, and support integrations among ERP, Microsoft 365, manufacturing, financial, and other systems.
• Develop custom applications, utilities, and system extensions to meet business needs.
• Participate in ERP upgrades, implementations, migrations, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues; coordinate with vendors and internal resources.

This position will play a key role in our ERP development and business systems strategy, with a strong focus on Epicor Kinetic, Microsoft Power Platform, workflow automation, custom applications, integrations, and reporting.

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Epicor Kinetic customizations, including Application Studio configurations, Business Process Management directives (BPMs), Business Activity Queries (BAQs), dashboards, reports, and related technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain business applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and other approved low-code or traditional development tools.
• Design, build, and support integrations among ERP, Microsoft 365, manufacturing, financial, customer, supplier, and other third-party systems using APIs, web services, middleware, and data exchange processes.
• Develop custom applications, utilities, and system extensions to address business needs that are not met through standard application functionality.
• Participate in ERP upgrades, implementations, migrations, testing, and deployment activities across multiple divisions and business systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, workflow, and data-related issues; coordinate with vendors and internal resources when escalation is required.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of ERP development experience
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status Required: Due to FC Industries’ work supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs and applicable regulatory compliance requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents
• Must currently reside within the Dayton, Ohio area or be willing to commute to our Dayton-area facilities. Relocation assistance is not available.
• Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with Epicor and Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of experience developing, integrating, or supporting enterprise business applications; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Experience developing solutions for ERP platforms such as Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Infor, Plex, or NetSuite. Experience across multiple ERP or business systems is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including application design, workflow development, connectors, environment management, and solution deployment.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, XML, web services, authentication methods, and system integration patterns.
• C# and .NET development experience preferred, particularly for ERP customizations, integrations, utilities, or business applications.
• Epicor experience strongly preferred, including Application Studio, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, reports, and integration capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, leadership, and external vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, collaborate across departments, and deliver maintainable solutions with attention to detail.
