Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a dynamic IT customer organization in the US. You’ll partner with Product Owners and Scrum teams to deliver solutions for the US Contact Centers, with roles anchored in Waltham, MA and options in Syracuse, NY and Brooklyn, NY.

The position emphasizes enthusiastic, analytics-driven analysis, requirements gathering, and collaboration across business and IT to drive improvements in workflows and processes.

Qualifications

What you’ll do

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll be working closely with the Product owner and scrum teams to deliver solutions to support National Grid’s US Contact Centers, including the following key responsibilities:

  • Create user stories based on business requirements
  • Conduct full analytics collaboratively to identify and provide solutions for gaps and workflows
  • Complete all support documentation on assigned projects, including creating and updating all user and technical procedures/manuals, process flows, operational support documentation
  • Develop the testing strategy and plans through requirements testing for user acceptance

  • Expert level analysis skills including ability to identify patterns, potential issues and then translate those into functional and test requirements
  • Expert level understanding of business functional areas and management issues as well as the IT organizations systems and capabilities
  • Ability to influence and build relationships and demonstrate team leadership skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record with planning, estimating and organizing effort for the WBS
It would be awesome if you had
  • Experience in working in the Utility (Gas/Electric) domain within a project setting
  • Functional knowledge of Contact Center process
  • Proven ability to build credible and long term working relationships within IT, business teams and third-party suppliers and demonstrate influence in a team environment

Salary

$86,000 – $121,000 a year

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation (“DOT”) covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
