Job summary

NextEra Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support a growing technology organization.

You will administer and improve cloud-based and internal IT environments, endpoints, and workplace systems, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and operational excellence. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, the ability to lead complex troubleshooting, and collaboration with software engineering, data science, security, and business teams.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years in systems administration, cloud operations, or related role.
• Experience administering and supporting cloud-based and internal enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of OS, IAM, networking, endpoints, and enterprise productivity platforms.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and configuration management.
• Experience supporting software engineering, data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and modify OS and product configurations for optimum performance.
• Serve as technical escalation point for issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, system and application issues.
• Support cloud and on-premise environments and ensure security.
• Develop runbooks and support procedures.
