Job summary
enGen is seeking an experienced storage engineer to design, implement, and automate technical IT storage solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. You will monitor capacity, back up data, support DR and cyber recovery testing, and collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to meet enterprise goals.
Mentoring junior engineers is expected. The role emphasizes staying current with new technologies, best practices, and ensuring solution quality, performance, and reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 5 years in designing, coding, testing and implementing technical storage solutions.
- Experience with cloud storage platforms and enterprise storage governance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, test, implement, and automate technical IT storage solutions.
- Provide production monitoring, storage capacity management, and ecosystem support.
- Assist in data backup, recovery, DR, and cyber recovery testing.
- Collaborate on storage architectures aligned to enterprise goals.
- Gather requirements with stakeholders to meet organizational needs.
- Document processes, participate in reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay current with technologies and best practices.
