Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced IT leader to drive strategic technology roadmaps and oversee major enterprise IT programs. You will translate business needs into scalable solutions, lead digital transformation initiatives including cloud, data analytics and AI, and ensure security and compliance across IT services. Travel up to 25% may be required.

The role focuses on partnering with business leaders to optimize IT delivery and operational excellence in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience.
  • Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Certifications such as PMP or ITIL are beneficial.
  • Experience leading complex enterprise IT projects and programs.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, security and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Experience building and developing successful teams.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Business acumen to align technology with business objectives.
  • Expertise in IT service delivery and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in regulated environments (GMP, FDA) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Leadership experience in matrix organizations.
  • Change management and organizational transformation experience.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement strategic technology roadmaps and support our business teams translate business requirements into technical solutions. Support digital transformation through the implementation of advanced solutions in areas like cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and enterprise systems. REQUIREMENTS
  • Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $150,000.00–$200,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
