Job summary

The City of Delray Beach is seeking an advanced IT security professional to lead and implement security systems protecting the City’s network and data. You will manage desktop, server, network and backup operations, enforcing security policies and incident response across multiple teams.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, SEIM monitoring, vulnerability management, and staff education to heighten security awareness among City employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years' experience in IT security infrastructure, design, operations, and information assurance.
• Certification in at least two of Security+, CEH, CISSP, SSCP, CCNP, GCFA, GCIA, GCIH, MCSE, CCNA/CCNP within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server Administration, upgrades and backups.
• Administer Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Manage print servers and copiers.
• Administer application servers, upgrades and backups.
• Ensure network storage backups.
• Respond to security-related service desk tickets and coordinate across teams.
• Monitor SEIM alerts and enforce security best practices.
• Configure and maintain security tools (IDS/IPS, DLP, encryption, firewalls).
• Conduct security assessments and risk reviews; implement mitigations.
• Educate City employees on IT security issues to heighten awareness.
