Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Senior Network Engineer Leader to guide a team in managing and securing large-scale enterprise networks, driving modernization and strategic initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership across architecture, security, and vendor management, with a track record of delivering complex projects in hybrid settings. Based in St. Petersburg, FL, the position favors candidates with 6–10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of general experience.
• Hybrid work model with in-office presence 3 days per week in St. Petersburg, FL.
• Not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise network engineering efforts, including routing, switching, WAN, data center, firewalls and cloud connectivity.
• Steer architecture and strategy to align with enterprise standards and long-term goals.
• Drive modernization, lifecycle management and adoption of new network technologies.
• Ensure operational resiliency through high availability, redundancy, capacity planning and disaster recovery.
• Manage complex network initiatives, risks, timelines, and cross-team coordination.
• Oversee security, risk controls, and regulatory compliance within a large enterprise.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance with carriers and technology providers.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, Security, Cloud, and other teams; develop engineers and succession plans.
