Weber Blackstone is seeking a Senior Security Operations Leader in Utah to run detection, response, and vulnerability management as part of a merged IT security function. You will work with our Sr.

Director to translate strategy into controls and lead the team in incidents, tuning tools, and maintaining playbooks. The role requires 6+ years in IT security with 3+ years in leadership, hands-on experience with EDR/SIEM, and a strong background in IAM and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in IT security with 3+ years leading teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Hands-on experience with EDR, SIEM, and email security.
• Knowledge of IAM (SSO, MFA, AD/Entra ID) and privileged access.
• Experience with vulnerability management and patching.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI DSS audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead security operations, monitor incidents and respond with MDR/MSSP.
• Triage alerts from EDR, SIEM, and cloud tools; tune rules to reduce noise.
• Lead incident response and run playbooks and post-incident reviews.
• Run vulnerability scanning and patch tracking across systems.
• Administer SSO, MFA, and access reviews.
• Prepare monthly security metrics and reports.
• Collaborate with HR/IT on joiner-mover-leaver processes.
