Job summary

Daily duties include administering IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption, anti-virus, and log reviews; handling escalated security issues; and coordinating with vendors and end-users to enforce information security policies.

Qualifications

• Specialized training beyond high school in Information Technology or related field.
• At least 3 years in information security and/or IT networking.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily administration of information security hardware and software (IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption, anti-virus, log reviews).
• Handles escalated security issues and analyzes threats/audit findings.
• Maintains security infrastructure with best industry practices and tests systems for effectiveness.
• Partners with end-users to enforce security policies and procedures; collaborates with vendors as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

5+ years related Information Security and/or IT networking experience

GSEC Certification

CCNA/NP/DA Certification

SANS Certification

CISSP Certification
