Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to champion security across global infrastructure, interfacing with Senior Leadership and the CIO to present risk postures and security metrics. The role emphasizes vulnerability management, asset lifecycle refresh, and minimizing attack surfaces while coordinating with Firewall and Infrastructure Operations teams.

The position is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) and can be based in Secaucus, NJ or Schaumburg, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT security program including design, engineering, threat and vulnerability management, incident response and security management.
• Experience with installing and configuring security software and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to communicate security concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops security and risk strategies to improve IT Security posture at Quest Diagnostics.
• Advise on and support security tools across networks, applications, and data protection.
• Lead security reviews and ensure security controls are implemented in IT projects.
• Maintain security standards and update procedures as technologies and regulations change.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business to enforce security requirements and address risks.
• Provide technical guidance on IT projects and act as SME across security domains.
