Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer to identify, evaluate, and implement controls to prevent, detect, contain, and respond to threats.

You will analyze threats using security technologies and guide configurations across servers, endpoints, and OT/IoT devices. The role leads security projects, develops strategies, and collaborates across technology and business units to ensure policy-aligned operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information security required (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in IT security with 3 years in a lead/architect role.
• Active information security credential required (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC/SANS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and implement security controls to prevent, detect, contain, and respond to threats.
• Lead projects and project teams within and outside the security department.
• Maintain information security strategies and support across technology and business units.
• Guide security configurations of servers, endpoints, and OT/IoT devices.
