Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Risk Advisory Staff to support risk and accounting engagements across multiple offices, including Louisville, KY. You will work on internal controls, SOX, IT risk and risk analytics while engaging with clients of various sizes and industries.

You’ll join a team focused on growth, professional development, and delivering value. A senior pursuing an accounting or CIS degree with solid GPA is preferred, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior pursuing a Masters or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or CIS.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred.
• Developing a solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Curiosity about business operations and the impact of accounting/information systems on transactions.
• Willing to pursue CPA, CIA or similar designations.

Responsibilities

• Support risk consulting and accounting engagements across risk management, internal controls, SOX, internal audit, IT risks, and risk analytics.
• Support project quality control and client engagements from planning to report composition.
• Maintain a strong client focus and build productive relationships to achieve engagement objectives.
• Provide recommendations regarding client risks over financial reporting, compliance, operations and fraud.
