Job summary

The State of Michigan is seeking an Information Technology Project Manager to lead large, complex projects within the PMO, supporting OCTO, CIP/CSS. This role requires coordinating with vendor partners, managing schedules, budgets, and risks across multiple teams to align with SUITE standards.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement (two days on-site in Lansing, three remote days per week) and potential sign-on bonus, with opportunities to contribute at the agency leadership level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant credits as listed in the job posting.
• Demonstrated understanding of IT project management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management for large IT projects.
• Coordinate long-term release planning and ensure budget, quality, and schedule goals are met.
• Elevate issues/risks to executives and ensure adherence to SUITE methodologies.
• Collaborate with PM teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science, data processing, information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, project management, or mathematics
