Job summary

NYS Office of Information Technology Services in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Project Manager for long-term, on-site assignments. The role requires extensive PM experience across scopes, business cases, schedules, and cross-functional IT projects with application development, vendor software implementation, or infrastructure work.

The candidate will report to agency leadership, coordinate with executives and project teams, and ensure delivery within time, budget, and quality while

Qualifications

• 84 months experience in creating project management scopes, business cases, and/or project plans as well as utilization of project management methodologies for managing scope, schedule, and quality.
• 84 months of experience in project status reporting to all levels of stakeholders, executives, management, and project resource teams.
• 84 months experience in the creation of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and project communications for complex cross functional projects.
• 84 months experience in Project Management of complex, crossfunctional, multi-organization information technology projects with a variety of key project stakeholders including executive level. Experience should include a variety of application development, vendor software implementation and/or technology infrastructure projects.
• 60 months experience as a Project Manager in a state or federal government environment.
• 60 months experience managing projects with a team size of 15 or more project participants that required negotiating priorities and resolving conflicts among team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage cross-functional and highly complex information technology projects such as a variety of application development, vendor software implementation and/or technology infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and quality.
• Provide ongoing project communications and governance to executives, management, and project teams.
