Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC seeks an IT Project Manager to design, develop, and oversee IT projects for a large federal entity. The role involves shaping project plans, coordinating resources, and implementing management plans across ongoing efforts.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or related fields, 5+ years of IT project management experience, and strong Agile leadership skills. Federal project experience and PM certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Business, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years in IT-related projects with leadership in at least 3 on-time, on-budget deliveries.
• 5+ years in information system design and development with Java/JavaScript.
• Experience with API management, RESTful APIs, cloud and on-prem environments.
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases; strong algorithmic skills.
• 5+ years managing an Agile Scrum team with DevOps.
• Experience with public agency interfaces.
• PM certification or Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and schedule with a focus on delivering value.
• Organize and lead project status meetings and reviews.
• Prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders.
• Manage risks and issues; adjust plans to stay on track.
• Drive continuous improvement and agile process adoption across teams.
• Assist with project design, planning, and resource assessment.
• Provide technical analysis reports to support agency discussions.
• Support agile transformation from current to desired state.
